"Trans Art Now" Call For Art Submissions

This is a month long (Feb. 15 - Mar. 15) call for submissions from all of the amazing trans and gender diverse artists out there! You do NOT have to be a student to send us your submission, only someone who identifies as trans, nonbinary, two spirit, agender, or otherwise gender diverse.

This event will feature an "open" theme, which means: make what you want, say what you wish: we want to hear YOUR voices!

All mediums are permitted. We will display as many of the submissions as possible at our Trans+ Day of Visibility celebration in the Blue Ridge Conference Center on Monday, March 31st. In consideration of our limited display space, we ask that submissions be within the dimensions of 36"x36"x2" for canvas or 24"x24"x24" for sculptures/models.

Artists have the choice of sending a Digital Submission to the email address listed below or submitting their piece in person to our office in the A.K Hinds University Center. Arrangements must be made with us prior to an in person delivery. Contact tsu-at-wcu@protonmail.com for more information.

Digital Submissions should include 1-3 clear images of the artist's piece. In addition, we request that all submissions include a written piece (200-800 words) on the artist's influences, use of materials/style, and ambitions/hopes. Submissions without a written piece will still be considered.
